With so many styles of boats produced over so many years, it is not always easy to find the fittings that are right for every one, especially with the decline of companies who are able and willing to take on this kind of work these days. However, with our team of pattern makers, foundries, machine shops and polishers, we are able to create many bronze and brass fittings to customers designs. Sometimes a standard fitting can be modified in a simple way such as different fixing holes, reduced spigot depths on portlights, or perhaps a chrome finish. Other times a new pattern will need to be made to produce exactly what the vessel needs.
From fairleads, cleats and bollards to portlights, vents and stemhead fittings, we are able to quote for a wide variety of bronze and brass cast fittings. We can work from old examples or drawings and will always discuss and agree pricing before any work is carried out. One-offs can often be more laborious than standard production, but we always advise an approximate timescale from pattern making to finished product. Our skills are at your disposal and we hope that, by creating the right fittings for you, your boat may be completed without compromise.
